How do I get into Ministry?

As people come into Grace Bible Fellowship, many will identify with the vision or biblical goals of our fellowship. It is our vision to raise people up into ministry. Naturally is important that we identify those people and help them, encourage them, to achieve their full potential as they exercise their God given gifts in Christ.

Without a doubt it is important for Christians to minister. And God wants us to minister as a team not out of our own personal or selfish ambition. If you believe the Lord is leading you to serve among us there are a number of questions we would like to ask . These questions may help you identify your area of ministry and even answer the question "are you called to be a part of this ministry?"

Some Questions we may ask....

bullet

If you came from another church, did you leave in good faith with the blessing of your Pastor?

bullet

Are you prepared to commit to the vision of this church through good and bad, in sickness and in health until God and the Pastors release you?

bullet

Do you give time and offerings to this church?

bullet

Have you show  faithfulness to the little responsibilities of Christian living?

bullet

Is your vision for ministry in this church or for a ministry to be based out of it?

bullet

Can you commit to this church family?  In what way?

bullet

What evidences do you have of your calling to ministry?

bullet

Are you prepared to train yourself in preparation for your release into ministry?

bullet

How much time do you spend reading and meditating over the word each week?

bullet

How much time in prayer?

bullet

Can you serve and assist other Christian ministries joyfully?

bullet

How is your walk with the Lord?

bullet

What do you think are important issues for those who minister? Morally? Spiritually?

bullet

Do you and your spouse have a relationship that will encourage others to Godly living?

bullet

Do you have any action in your life that may be considered a sin before God? Where are you at with it?

It is not our goal to pass judgment on whether anyone is fit to minister or called to minister. However, it is our responsibility to God to be true to His word and to carefully guard it and His ministry. We would expect that not only you but also some of the leadership team would have a witness in their spirits about your calling.
